The University of Kerala has achieved a prestigious distinction in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World Universities Sustainability Rankings 2025, a global system that measures the level of sustainability in tune with Sustainable Development Goals of higher education institutions at the international level.
The University of Kerala has been ranked in the 1,181-1,200 band globally in the sustainability assessment. The university is ranked 395th in Asia and 48th in India.
The university also recorded creditable scores in various categories – environmental impact (42.3), social impact (31.1) and governance (56.9), to be ranked 810th, 1,001+ and 868th in the respective categories.
Among sub-categorical indicators, the university scored highly in environmental education (53.7), environmental research (55.7) and knowledge exchange (58.9).
