The Raj Bhavan on Monday announced the winners of the Governor’s Awards 2024 under the ‘Social Service’ and ‘Environmental Protection’ categories. While Idhayangal (Coimbatore district) and Hope Public Charitable Trust (Chennai district) were named for the award in the ‘Social Service’ category for institutions, S. Ramalingam (Chennai district), Swarnalatha J. (Coimbatore district), and A. Rajkumar (Madurai district) would receive the award in the same category for individuals.
An official release from the Raj Bhavan said the Chitlapakkam Rising Charitable Trust (Chennai district) would receive the award under the ‘Environmental Protection’ category for institutions. The awards will be presented by the Governor during the ‘AT HOME’ Reception held on Republic Day in the Raj Bhavan in Chennai.
