Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College for Women organised a two-day international conference on “Transformation Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): A Multidisciplinary Approach” here on Wednesday.
The technical sessions featured speakers from various disciplines. Satyendra Singh, Professor of Marketing and International Business, University of Winnipeg, Canada, highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary collaborations in addressing global sustainability challenges
Further, he spoke on digitalisation and sustainability, emphasising the transformative role of technology in fostering sustainable development.
Stressing on the 17 SDG goals that the nations around the world were working to attain, he said, technology would give a boost to the rate at which it could be achieved.
He stated that education is the key to empowering individuals, making it possible to achieve all these goals with greater ease and efficiency
Meera Kaur, Associate Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, presented on good nutrition for health and wellness, focusing on the role of nutrition in achieving health-related SDGs.
The event brought together college students, scholars, policymakers, and experts from diverse fields to explore innovative strategies for achieving the United Nations’ SDGs.
