Alappuzha municipality declares three tourist spots as green destinations

The Alappuzha municipality has declared three tourist spots as green destinations under the Malinya Muktham Navakeralam (garbage-free new Kerala) campaign. They are Vijay Beach Park, Amaze World and Adventure Tourism Park.

Officials said that maximum use of eco-friendly products would be ensured at these centres and bins were installed for visitors to deposit waste.

The operators of the centres would ensure proper segregation and processing of waste at the source itself. The health wing of the civic body would conduct regular inspections at the places and surveillance cameras would be installed for monitoring purposes, said an official.
