SRM University-AP to host green hydrogen summit in March

SRM University-AP is gearing up to host a ‘Green Hydrogen Summit’ in March.

A statement issued by the university management on Wednesday (January 1) said the two-day event will play a significant role in fostering collaboration for sustainable solutions. The event would provide a platform to discuss innovations, challenges and future opportunities in production, storage and application of green hydrogen.

The university’s pro-chancellor P. Satyanarayanan said the objective was to bring together experts to deliberate on the latest advancements and technological developments in green hydrogen technology and to set targets for its production by uniting industries, seed companies and stakeholders at one place. “The summit will help the stakeholders to understand the emerging trends of Green Hydrogen and will facilitate innovation and sustainability,” he said.

The SRM Group research executive director D. Narayana Rao, along with the SRM Group vice-president Janakiraman and faculty members M. Pardha Saradi and Sujit Kalluri, visited the Chief Minister’s Office on Wednesday to discuss the organisational aspects of the summit.

The team also met Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and Industries and Commerce Secretary N. Yuvraj to seek support of the government in organising the event.
